The SLH Pinot Gris grapes are grown on the gentle slopes of the Lone Oak Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands. The east-facing slopes of this vineyard catch the morning sun, while ocean breezes caress the vines in the late afternoon. These conditions allow for the delicate and supple flavors of our Pinot Gris to develop in the long growing season of this appellation.

Well-balanced from first sip to finish, this Pinot Gris features aromas of pear, wild honey and stone fruit, leading to notes of citrus and straw. Tones of ripe tropical fruit lend a hint of sweetness that contrasts deliciously with wisps of perfume. Flavorful and refreshing, it’s the ideal wine for a summer picnic.

This wine pairs well with a range of lighter dishes. Pack it for a picnic with pesto chicken sandwiches with sundried tomatoes and fontina, or serve with a simple appetizer such as prosciutto and melon. Or try it with an entree such as grilled swordfish with mango salsa or spicy Thai cuisine.
